Hi! My name is Mike French. I own Travel Excite,
a wholy owned subsidiary of Virginia Decking & Remodeling
which is a locally owned deck company. I have recently purchased
a travel company and I am seeking one sharp individual (male
or female) to be my Appointment Secretary. He
or she will help me and my marketing people by booking appointments
for us. They will be able to work from home and they can live
pretty much anywhere. Here's how it works:
For right now I have 2 people in my marketing force plus myself
who will need appointments set. By email, we will provide you
with an Excel file with names and phone numbers of folks we know
(business contacts or former customers or friends, etc.) who
may be interested in booking travel through our websites (at
the same low rates they get through the "Big Guys" like
Expedia or Travelocity... frequently even lower rates)...
or perhaps even becoming Travel Agents and working with us (and
getting some amazing discounts on their travel).
You will need to keep track of what they say and ask (on the
Excel form we provide)... answer their questions honestly and
to the best of your ability... and encourage them to keep the
appointment. I will pay you $10 for each appointment that is
set and kept (this is why you should encourage them to
keep the appointment!). |

I will pay weekly (the next Friday). How many
appointments will you have to set for us? All three of us are
working part time at this (two of us have full time jobs and
the 3rd is a college student), so it will start out at perhaps
(this will change) 12 appointments a week for me and maybe 12
appointments for my sales people for a total of 24 a week...
but this will vary. It will also go up quickly as we add more
marketing people to our organization. However, before you can
do any of this,
you will have to thoroughly understand
my
business
in
order
to
field
questions from the leads we give you. You can't stumble around
when they ask a question. To that end, I have included links
on this page which explain much (but not all) of what we do.
Please read and study through the links on this
page CAREFULLY. Take your time and understand my company because
when
you email
me
for an interview, I will ask you some questions to see if you
really understand my line of work (that is the first screen that
I use to weed out the lazy folks). We will then get together
for an interview.
Why such a big deal for "just" an appointment
secretary? Because my Appointment Secretary is my "point
man" ("point person" to be politically
correct)... the initial contact our potential customers will
have with my firm. I want a real professional to represent
us because we are professionals in
the wonderful and exciting industry of world wide travel. I want
someone completely sold on how this business is changing lives
across
the country
because we are sold on how this business is changing lives.
