I wanted to thank you again for the plans. My wife and I built this 12' x 18' oval gazebo out over our pond ourself from your plans. We are pretty proud of the result so thought we would share it with you. One half of the gazebo is on footers and the other half sits on pilings driven into the pond. The main structure was erected last year and it made it through the tough Iowa winter without any movement. Your decks are built like tanks so I don't think we need to worry about it holding up. I especially appreciated you sending me the electronic version of the plans as this converted directly into my computer aided design program. I only had one area on the plans that I had trouble understanding and after a one minute phone conversation with you it made perfect sense. It took my wife and I quite a while to build the 12' x 18' oval gazebo since we could only work on it evenings and week ends, but it sure was worth the effort. Putting it out over our pond gives us a fantastic view and seems to have a cool breeze always blowing. We look forward to spending many hours enjoying it. Well, Mike, we finally finished up or 12x16 gazebo. Your plans were invaluable! Everything was well layed out and detailed appropriately (the plans had enough information without appearing cluttered). I have attached several photos of our work. Please feel free to use the photos as you wish. One thing that worked well as a nice touch was to use T1-11 plywood
